Founded at the height of the pandemic,

JUANCommunity•JUANHealth, is a non-profit organiza-
tion in the Philippines which aims to provide basic and

palliative care and services to the indigent members of

the community.

Due to the pandemic, our volunteers had been called

numerous times to check patients at home

(both in acute conditions and those on palliative care) be-
cause of the lack of accessibility to treatments and ser-
vices i.e. blood pressure monitoring, blood glucose

checking, simple wound dressing, nebulization, oxygen

support, administering prescribed IV fluids and IV medica-
tions). Our goal is to reduce high mortality rates within the

community secondary to gross negligence, misinforma-
tion, poor mental health, and lack of access to health care

facilities.
